Tommy Thompson Appointed Liberal Judge That Stoped Voter ID Law

We now learn that liberal Judge David Flanagan who ordered an injunction to stop the Voter ID law and who also signed a recall petition for governor Walker was appointed by former Republican Governor Tommy Thompson. Thompson is now seeking to be the Republican nominee for US Senate. Thompson's appointment of Flanagan doesn't say a lot about his ability to choose good Judges. One of the jobs of a US Senator is approving judicial nominees. One can imagine Thompson voting to approve Obama Supreme Court nominees Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan if he had been in the Senate at the time.
