Recall Signatures Singed With An X Will Be Counted

Just read something unbelievable on Jsonline.com. The state GAB will accept signatures with illegible street addresses and will also accept a signature signed with just an X. If someone writes Mickey Mouse the signature will not be striked but simply flagged. How can anyone really believe this recall election will come about expect because of recall signature fraud? From JSonline:

If street names are illegible, the signatures will still be counted. The signature itself, even if it is just an "X," will be accepted, said election specialist Katie Mueller. If names appear to be fraudulent - "Mickey Mouse," for instance - the workers will flag the names, but will not strike them.

Will Council Member Paul Medinger Keep His Word On City Administrator?

Council Member Paul Medinger is on record opposing the city administrator idea. Back in March this is what he told the La Crosse Tribune.

Lax Trib-

La Crosse would benefit from hiring a city administrator and reducing the mayor’s position to part time.
Medinger-
Disagree
I am open to discussing this and think that it is worth looking into anything that could increase efficiency at City Hall, but I would hesitate replacing an elected position that we have had since 1856 with an appointed position.
Please contact Mr. Medinger at medingerp@cityoflacrosse.org or call him at 608-769-9895 and tell him to keep his word and vote no.

Will Council Member Doug Happel Keep His Word And Oppose City Administrator?

Here is what City Council member Doug Happel told the La Crosse Tribune back in March about his position on the idea of adding a city administrator.
Lax Trib-  Agree or Disagree?
La Crosse would benefit from hiring a city administrator and reducing the mayor’s position to part time.

Happel-
Neither. This is not a pure agree or disagree statement. This is not the time to add another level of governmental staff. It is much more important to have the mayor and city council work closely together and to focus on policy issues, so that our city employees can perform their jobs as efficiently as possible.
Please give him a call at 608-788-1185 or email happeld@cityoflacrosse.org and tell him to keep his word on such an important issue.
