Rep. Kind to hold town-hall meetings next week

U.S. Rep. Ron Kind, D-Wis., will hold two town-hall meetings on Aug. 19.

The meetings are open to the public, and Kind has invited attendees to discuss any topics or concerns.

The first meeting is scheduled for 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Alma, Wis., at the Buffalo County Government Center at 407 S. Second St.

The second meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon in Pepin, Wis., at the Pepin Village Hall located at 508 Second St.

Dave Drewers of Citizens For Responsible Government has filed a complaint with the Government Accountability Board (GAB) because La Crosse School District employee Jeffrey Greene used his work email (jgreene@lacrosseschools.org) to solicit campaign support for Democrat Rep Steve Doyle in his race for assembly last spring. The Lax Trib reported on the story today, but did not publish the email that was sent by Greene. LaCrossewatcdog has obtained the email and it is below for your viewing.
