Just received this email today from Jennifer Shilling pandering to the Koch brothers paranoia of the left wing conspiracy nuts. Here is the email below.
Immediately following Dan Kapanke's vote for Scott Walker's radical budget, The Club for Growth, an extreme right wing group backed by the notorious Koch Brothers, placed huge TV buys to attack and smear me.
It is clear that the corporate special interests are defending Dan Kapanke in exchange for his vote in favor of huge corporate giveaways – even at the expense of Wisconsin's middle class working families.
These shadowy outside special interest groups have come into this race to mislead voters. They are using their limitless money to spread lies and buy this election.
Will you help me fight these lies and distortions? I need to raise $5000 today to get back on the airwaves and tell the truth about Dan Kapanke and Scott Walker.
Dan Kapanke and Scott Walker continue to be backed by out-of-state corporate groups whose only interest in Wisconsin is to increase their profit margins. It’s clear that Dan Kapanke has stopped listening to us and these attack ads are just further proof that he's not on our side.
Will you help me stand up to Dan Kapanke, Scott Walker and their corporate crony backers by making a contribution of $15, $35, $75 or more today? Your support will allow me to go on the air and defend my record of fighting for working families, children and seniors throughout Wisconsin.
Thank you for your continued support and friendship. With your help, we will fight back against these smears and tell Dan Kapanke, Scott Walker, and their special interest friends that the people of Wisconsin are not for sale!Thank you again for your support,
Jennifer ShillingIf Jennifer Shilling is so concerned about possible Koch money influencing elections, then why is she out there campaigning with the KOCH funded Rep Ron Kind?
LaCrosseWatchdog uncovered that Ron Kind has received a total of $16,000 from the Koch Inc PAC during his political career. Shouldn't Shilling be calling out Ron Kind who receives direct funding from Koch rather then trying to link Dan Kapanke with the Koch brothers money through some bizarre pro corporate conspiracy theory? This is typical of politicians, double standards and Hypocrisy! Is Shilling against all Koch money in politics? It seems like she is willing to look the other way when a democrat gets funded by the "notorious Koch Brothers."
