The workshops provide an opportunity for you to participate in an interactive exercise in which you will learn what is involved in reducing the deficit. Working in small groups (i.e., “budget committees), you will review federal spending priorities, tax policy, and entitlement reform, and then have to make many of the policy decisions facing lawmakers today. This exercise allows you to gain firsthand experience addressing the difficult challenges in the budget.
